Crixan Gel 15 gm contains Clarithromycin, which inhibits the synthesis of essential nutrients required for bacterial survival. As a result, Crixan Gel 15 gm kills the acne-causing bacteria. Crixan Gel 15 gm is for external use only. Some people may experience side effects like burning sensation, peeling, itching, redness and dry skin. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult a doctor. Do not use Crixan Gel 15 gm if you are allergic to clarithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics such as erythromycin, azithromycin, or any of the other components of this medicine. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. While applying Crixan Gel 15 gm, make sure it does not come in contact with the nose, eyes or mucous membrane. If Crixan Gel 15 gm accidentally comes in contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly.
